Mix Honteri, rice vinegar and bonito flakes over medium heat and simmer.<\/p>\n<p>2. Remove from heat and add konbu. Once cooled, strain the liquid to remove bonito flakes, keeping konbu.<\/p>\n<p>3. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.<\/p>\n<p>2. Refrigerate for 24 hours to combine all the ingredients and achieve a deeper flavour.<\/p>\n<p>3. Serve with any deep-fried dish of your choice.<\/p>\n<h2>Yakiniku Sauce<\/h2>\n<p>Lastly, we have yakiniku sauce, which is a Japanese BBQ sauce used alongside grilled foods including meats, vegetables, and seafood.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the variety of both sweet and savoury ingredients, this dark-golden sauce has a sweet and savoury flavour \u2013 making it perfect for grilled dishes.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s find out how chefs can make it for their restaurants.<\/p>\n<h3>Yakiniku Sauce Recipe<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200ml Sake<\/li>\n<li>200ml <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mizkanchef.com\/en\/japanese-ingredients\/honteri\/\">Honteri<\/a><\/li>\n<li>10g Sugar<\/li>\n<li>100ml <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mizkanchef.com\/en\/japanese-ingredients\/vinegar\/\">Rice vinegar<\/a><\/li>\n<li>300ml Soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>5g Dried bonito flakes<\/li>\n<li>100ml Apple juice<\/li>\n<li>2g Toasted white sesame seeds<\/li>\n<li>50ml Sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>3g Grated garlic<\/li>\n<li>3g Grated ginger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preparation method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Mix sake, Honteri, sugar, rice vinegar, soy sauce, bonito flakes, garlic and ginger in a pan on medium heat and stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Make sure to stir constantly to prevent sugar from burning. This should take around 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>2. Turn off the heat and strain the sauce to remove garlic, ginger and bonito flakes.<\/p>\n<p>3.
